Clean Aviation Projects Unite in High-Level Webinar Debate on the Future of Sustainable Flight
A new HERA series bringing advanced aviation closer to everyone
As the aviation sector accelerates towards climate neutrality, one key question is emerging:
“Which technology pathway will deliver the greatest impact by 2035—hybrid-electric aircraft powered by Sustainable Aviation Fuels (SAF), or hydrogen-powered aviation?”
To address this challenge, four flagship projects funded under the Clean Aviation Joint Undertaking will come together on 2 October 2026 for an interactive webinar debate entitled:
"The Race to 2035: Hybrid-Electric & SAF vs Hydrogen Aviation"
The online event will bring together experts from the Clean Aviation projects HERA, HERFUSE, H2ELIOS, and CAVENDISH to discuss technology maturity, certification pathways, infrastructure readiness, operational challenges, and investment priorities shaping the future of European aviation.
